Just read about amplifi

Since, I’m not that talented when it comes to music, I barely understood what he said but what I can remember from what he shared is that this is an awesome instrument and he would want to have one if ever he gets the chance of seeing one here. Being really gifted in music, I really wish that he gets himself one soon. I believe talents should be showcased because those are gifts from God.

Passenger

By on March 2, 2014

I am not really that explore-y when it comes to music. Once I hear a song and I liked it, I’ll try searching for the artist’s  other songs and eventually start to like them all too.

I saw my professor post a music video on Facebook. The song’s title is Let Her Go. I thought it was one of Disney’s Frozen soundtrack parody and got curious and checked it out. To my surprise, it was actually a song. A beautiful song. The artist is Passenger.

I loved the song Let Her Go because of the emotions in it. That’s what I’ve been looking for in a song. So I searched for the other songs by Passenger and I have never been so right. Hihi. I loved all of them!! Especially Life’s for the Living.

I haven’t checked the information about the artist yet but I already heard some of his songs and I can say that he is really a great artist. His songs are  relate-able and some are funny too. 🙂

I recommended his music to my friends and no doubt, they liked them as well.

Sponge Cola Ultrablessed Album Launch

By on

January 31, 2014. SpongeCola ended the month with pure awesomeness.

Almost exactly one month ago, I purchased a copy of SpongeCola’s latest album entitled Ultrablessed. It was a very timely event actually for I just quit my job and was almost on the verge of being broke when I found out about the launch.  It was a good thing that the band kept on updating their fans which gave me the chance to save for the launch day. Besides, I really really miss watching them perform live.

For 500php, I got Ultrablessed, Maximum Capacity (SC’s first major concert) DVD and a poster. But the very thing that I treasure the most are the memories. Yip, we’re heading to emo lane now. Haha.

But honestly, I just realized I’ve been supporting SpongCola for quite some time now. I may not be able to buy their albums when I was still in highschool but I can proudly say that I was there, leaning on the railings or going with a friend who had the money to buy an album. I was there. That’s why though cheesy, I cried during the throwback medley performance that they did on the event. The feeling stayed the same. They’re still as good as ever. One of the BEST OPM BANDS EVER!

Yael’s sign language, Armo’s hair flips, Gosh’s second voicing and TMac’s welcoming aura are only a few of the things that makes this band one of a kind and worth remembering through time.

I shall make a different post about the album. Because it deserves to. Hihi.

Meanwhile, here are some of the photos during the album launch. Photos I grabbed from Rhona, a fellow SC fan.

I tried to be cute and this was his response. “Masakit lang ngipin?” Haha!

Especially

Today is the day!

Finally, after months of waiting and missing their gigs, I will be seeing Sponge Cola perform live again! January 31, 2014 is the launch of their album ULTRABLESSED. Well, I really, really do miss these guys a lot (especially Armo) but at the same time, I’m curious about the album. The title itself is very… hmm. how do I put it? Intriguing? Not to the sense that it has any malicious aspect. I mean, it’s kind of unusual or unexpected but we’ll see tomorrow. I’ll definitely get a copy and I’ll try to share some feedback to you guys. Yipee~! I’m also curious if they are using the  new mackie computers & peripherals at guitar center. Hihi. For me, they’re still awesome no matter what instrument or equipment they use (especially Armo ^_^) I also love it when they do impromptu numbers and mash ups. Ah! I just can’t wait.

See you at Eastwood Central Plaza tomorrow at 6pm guys (especially Armo)! 🙂

I Wouldn’t Mind

By on May 21, 2013

The two OJTs that I underwent during my previous summer vacations might be the reason why I am not comfortable staying at home during summer right now. Boredom used to haunt me when I was still jobless and on a vacation from school. Which gave me the chance to clean my room, arrange my closet, put up Heechul’s photos on my improvised bedside table and make song covers

me and my guitar. Oh yes! I have finally succeeded in making song covers! Well, uhh, I have made one and I am practicing on two more. Hihi. I cannot use other guitars though. I only make decent covers when I am using my seven year old acoustic guitar. Good thing that before I got accepted on this company where I work from 4am to afternoon, I have already downloaded plenty guitar tutorials of my favorite songs. Piano tutorials even. 🙂

Music is really a great way of escape. My reason might be shallow but still, music helped me out again! 🙂

Lights and Owl City

LIGHTS – Cactus In The Valley Acoustic [Lyric Video]

Such an inspiring song. Just thought I might share it here.

Cactus In The Valley by Lights featuring Owl City

Lights-Cactus-in-the-Valley-2013-1200x1200

I never meant to wither
I wanted to be tall
Like a fool left the river
And watched my branches fall
Old and thirsty, I longed for the flood
To come back around
To the cactus in the valley
That’s about to crumble down

And wipe the mark of sadness from my face
Show me that your love will never change
If my yesterday is a disgrace
Tell me that you still recall my name

So, the storm finally found me
And left me in the dark
In the cloud around me
I don’t know where you are
If this whole world goes up in arms
All I can do is stand
And I won’t fight for anyone
Until you move my hand

And wipe the mark of madness from my face
Show me that your love will never change
If my yesterday is a disgrace
Tell me that you still recall my name

Oh, here
In the shadow
Here I am
And I need someone by my side
It becomes so
Hard to stand
And I keep trying to dry my eyes
Come and find me
In the valley

And wipe the mark of sadness from my face
Show me that your love will never change
If my yesterday is a disgrace
Tell me that you still recall my name
And wipe the mark of madness from my face
Show me that your love will never change
If my yesterday is a disgrace
Tell me that you still recall my name

Priorities

By on March 30, 2013

With what little money that I have recently earned online, I can buy one bestseller yamaha acoustic guitar! I only need the heart to pursue this passion which has been long gone in my priority list. I know it’s not enough that we know something because if we really love it, we won’t settle for the ordinary. We won’t settle for the basics. We would always strive for the best. If only I weren’t preparing for Heechul’s comeback this year, I may have gotten one of those already. Ugh, priorities!

Taylor Swift 22

I just watched Taylor Swift’s latest music video 22. As always, she looked so pretty in it and like in We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together MV, she’s so playful here also. 22 is one of my favorites in Red that’s why I am very excited for the video though if I were to give it a rating, it would be 7/10. I still like Taylor more princess-like and dreamy that’s why. But still, I love how real they all are in that video. And she’s very pretty, what more can I say? 🙂

From one musical instrument to another

By on

They say music is somehow man’s way of escape. The things that we can’t put into normal conversations, we let songs narrate. Simply put, there’s something in music that soothes our mood, lifts our spirits up, sheds our tears –and sometimes lets it fall as well– and even heal our broken hearts. It’s no doubt that music can be the bestfriend when nobody seem to understand.

Instrumental and classical music are two of the most soothing types of music there is. With only acoustic guitars, keyboard for instrumental and the ever famous violins for the classical, you’re sure to have a perfect time to unwind and think about anything under the sun. They also say that classical music can help develop a child’s mental ability. How wonderful, e?

AXL guitars

By on March 15, 2013

Commonly, acoustic guitars are the easiest to learn to play. It is light, the strings are softer and does not require much apparatus in order to be played. Yet, electric guitars deliver an equally satisfying performance especially when accompanied by other musical instruments. Personally, I have played the electrical guitar only during studio practice. At home, I only use my acoustic guitar.

But still, it would be very exciting to play electric guitars like axl guitars in front of a crowd. I just need tons of courage before being able to face people with such magnificent piece of musical instrument.
