Gudetama finds near you!

Consciously or not, for once in our lives we’ve had this what we call “spirit animal”. It’s something or someone that almost precisely possesses the characteristics we claim to have may be at the moment or in general.
Compared to other Sanrio characters, gudetama, a personified egg with its plain, lame look and apparently advocating laziness, is far from being instantly adored, moreover be considered as one’s spirit animal. However, lately, its same plain, lame egg-self has become its unique cuteness and its on point hatred to doing anything which a lot can relate to, made gudetama a chosen spirit animal of many. Or should I say, spirit …egg?
Being a low-key collector for years now, I used to consider myself lucky whenever I spot a gudetama item at a thrift shop amidst the Rilakkuma or Hello Kitty invaded shelves. Since its appearance is not that child-friendly really, I can’t blame parents for choosing cuddly bears or cute cats as gifts for their children. While thanking them at the same time since, the lower the demand, the lower its price is too.
But honestly, for a collector like me, I am willing to spend more than I am spending today if it means more choices and more gudetama items will be available. Shopping online is useful but seeing gudetama in abundance on physical stores, has a different pinch in a collector’s heart.
Thankfully, from toy stores, clothing and even food stores, gudetama is slowly making its way to the PH market. Providing more items for its rising fanbase in the Philippines.
Below are a few where I have personally purchased a part of my collection:

Rilakkuma lover

Ok, I must admit. I am crazy over this cute bear already.
While some of my friends already have a room full of Rilakkuma, I on the other hand is on step one of my Rilakkuma collection.
I have bought Rilakkuma plushies before because I really think that its cute. My nephew loves his Rilakkuma huggable too so I bought two more for him. I also gave another plushie to my kawaii friend, Nadine before.

But I never thought that I’d go buying my stuff, Rilakkuma-designed —especially office stuff. Hehe. Well, yeah. My first non-plushie Rilakkuma purchase is this tiny cup. I wonder why its green though. I asked the saleslady if they have the brown one but nah. Surprisingly, I still went on with this green cup. I posted this on Instagram and actually surprised that a lot of my friends found it cute. Any color indeed goes well with those circle eyes and tiny bear nose.

IMG_20150908_104020Next thing I bought are these Rilakkuma wooden clips. I have plenty of clips at the office but to add design on my workplace, I bought it. Haha! Still serves its purpose though. 🙂

Do you love Rilakkuma too? It will be great to see your collection, Rilakkuma or not, please spare me the kawaiiness~~ Hihi.

Monsters University

At Monsters University :)

Nope! This isn’t a movie review because, nope!, I haven’t watched the movie yet.

But I just want to write about my fascination to the idea of this movie. I mean, Monsters Inc. was already an amazing movie and yes, I already expected a sequel wherein Boo is a grownup but look at what they’ve got now! I think this is more interesting than having a part 2.

Looking back at how they became scarers is really an interesting idea. And though Boo is not yet on the movie, I think this is still as cool as the first. Just thinking of how Randall became who he is makes me wonder a lot. Eeeek! I have to watch it before the spoilers come rushing in!

Doraemon chord holder

New year. New beginnings.

One of my new year’s resolution is to be organize. I am still sharing a room with my sister and both of us just have our things all over the room. If you want to see a jungle in the city, our room is most likely one of the very good example of it. Seriously, there are used clothes everywhere and my school lectures are piled up in every corner of every closet that we have.

But I am starting on changing the little things for now. Like for example, I used to have my earphone chord all tangled up to the point of I’d rather not use it at all because untangling it eats up a lot of time. That’s why I decided to look for chord organizers that will prevent my earphone from tangling up by itself again.

I think I have bought like three holders before sticking to this one. The first that I bought got broken because the design is heavier than the actual holder. The second one seemed too weak and thin that the chords are breaking off from it. Finally, when I went to Eastwood with Roger, there’s an overnight bazaar and lots of things are on sale!

doraemon chord holder

Quickly, I looked for the gadgets accessories and spotted so many kinds of chord organizers. I even saw the previous ones that I’ve tried. After moments of choosing I decided to buy this Doraemon chord holder . Considering the things that my old organizers failed to provide, I think this one is not that complex to not be able to give the desired outcome of its like.

Not bad for a starter right? Way to go! 🙂

When I was in highschool, our Music teacher gave us a project regarding different kinds of sound. Musical instruments were assigned to our group. I remember how happy we were back then and we really took time in practicing our performance. I played the guitar and he did a mash-up of Breaking Free (HighSchool Musical) and Crush crush crush by Paramore. It was such a very fulfilling experience though we didn’t get the highest score. Some of us just learned to play their instruments during our practice though. Hihi.

I like music. I believe it really gives this kind of freedom that nobody can explain. If I were rich, I’d study different kinds of musical instruments and play them all. I adore banjos as well though they’re not that popular in my generation. Someday I’ll buy banjos for myself and a lot more.

Little Things

Music always has its way into reaching the innermost parts of our being. Those feelings that we try to convey in our everyday lives are easily portrayed through the mix and match of melodies and lyrics. I am picky when it comes to music because I rarely have the time to explore what’s new for the moment.

Commonly, I already have my favorite singers and I always loved whatever they wrote. I always adore their musical creations because in the first place, they are my idols.

But of course, there will always be that song in which the message prevails over whoever sang it. Just like now. I am not that big of a One Direction fan but I honestly, I fell in love with their new song called Little Things. They sang it very beautifully and sincerely. I think they should make more like this from now on. 🙂

One Direction – Little Things

The message of the song is about loving a girl from who she is and accepting the very little things that comprise her. I believe every girl deserves to be serenaded by their special someone with this song. This really is a very touching song. I play it every night before I sleep. I feel so loved whenever I listen to its lyrics. Good job 1D! 🙂

Little Things Lyrics
Your hand fits in mine
Like it’s made just for me
But bear this in mind
It was meant to be
And I’m joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks
And it all makes sense to me

I know you’ve never loved
The crinkles by your eyes
When you smile
You’ve never loved
Your stomach or your thighs,
The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine
But I’ll love them endlessly

I won’t let these little things slip out of my mouth
But if I do
It’s you
Oh, it’s you they add up to
I’m in love with you
And all these little things

You can’t go to bed without a cup of tea
And maybe that’s the reason that you talk in your sleep
And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep
Though it makes no sense to me

I know you’ve never loved
The sound of your voice on tape
You never want
To know how much you weigh
You still have to squeeze into your jeans
But you’re perfect to me

I won’t let these little things slip out of my mouth
But if it’s true
It’s you,
It’s you they add up to
I’m in love with you
And all these little things

You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you
You’ll never treat yourself right, darling, but I want you to.
If I let you know I’m here for you
Maybe you’ll love yourself like I love you, oh.

And I’ve just let these little things slip out of my mouth
‘Cause it’s you,
Oh, it’s you,
It’s you they add up to
And I’m in love with you
And all these little things

I won’t let these little things slip out of my mouth
But if it’s true
It’s you,
It’s you they add up to
I’m in love with you
And all your little things

Vintique: Le awesome app

During our free time at school, me and my friends either take photos or make funny covers of different songs. Sometimes we are using YouCam to take photos or Roger’s iTouch but when Mr. Rich Guy just bought his new iPhone 4s, the new wave of camwhoring began again. And this time, we focus on using different photo apps. Just because it’s a smartphone and apps are everywhere.

As I explore his iPhone, I notice this app named Vintique. It’s cute icon caught my attention and tried it right away. Just as I thought, Roger hasn’t used it yet. He’s the type who keeps on downloading apps but leaves the exploration in us. Good thing I was bored that day and tried it out.

The app has such cool effects. Something that people who like vintage photos will love. It also comes with different editing options such as frames and different photo adjustments.

My group’s favorite is the “dim past” effect and as usual, we take photos of ourselves looking like those who lived hundred years ago. Hihi. That’s all for now. I’ll explore more apps some time. 🙂

New not broken

When I was in highschool, my father bought me a guitar not only because I wanted to but also because he did as well. He always says that he’s a frustrated musician and that he wants us, his children, to experience the thing that he only dreamt of when he was a child. I was so happy when I got my guitar. I was 2nd year highschool then and an amazingly talented new classmate inspired me to learn playing the guitar or more like I envied her. Well, I guess it turned out good anyway because I became eager to learn and we became close because of that.

And now, that I am in college, my guitar has gone through a lot of things as me. I used it in different school performances both in highschool and college and stayed with me during boring days.

But it’s just now that I finally had its strings replaced. I don’t know. But I am still thankful because my father still supported me and bought the new strings for my guitar while Carmela, another highschool friend did the replacement. I was so happy for my guitar because playing it feels very refreshing and I just want to use it often now unlike before when its strings were rusty and all. I guess we just can’t really play on old but yet unbroken strings.

From now on, I pledge to make song covers and upload them on YouTube so that my guitar will have a new experience again and be exposed on the whole world. Yay!

But I haven’t got a name for her yet. You might want to suggest any?

Of all my class schedules, I can say that the Thursday sched is the most boring. My Hydraulics class starts at 8:00am and ends at around 12:00pm just right for lunch but then after eating, I have to wait for 6 hours before I can go to my next class. Six hours, bro! I can make a round trip from home to school if I want to. So yeah, good thing is that I have a very kindhearted classmates who always opens her doors to cradle us for the next six hours of our waiting.

We eat in her dorm, gossip, take pictures, and most of the times, sleep. But the most enjoyable part of our Thursday moments is the guitar jamming. Just this last Thursday, we taught Donna how to play the guitar because she says she wants to be like Yui of K-on! Haha! I remember fender custom shop musicians friend having a guitar same as Yiu’s Guita. 😀

Just an unpopular fact about me: I am a Potterhead – or what others things Harry Potter lovers are called. Either way, my love for Harry Potter prevails.

I have read the seven books but haven’t watched all the movies. I guess, I’m really just the reading type and perhaps because I really find it hard to understand English movies then what more if the characters speak in such an accent. I don’t have anything against the movies and I would love to watch them all if given a chance. It’s just that the Harry Potter books are so awesome already I cannot contain any more awesomeness yet.

An English project led me to engaging myself with this book that all the smart girls at school that time were talking about. Feeling more forced than interested, I started reading whatever Harry Potter book is available so I can start with my book report and get over it fast. I was lucky that another HP fan was my friend that time and so she lent me the only book which was not borrowed yet, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Yes, I started reading the Harry Potter series from the 5th book. Loving the story, I borrowed the remaining books from Mira and finished it some time during highschool. With enough knowledge about the books and some insights about the movies, I decided to join a community of Harry Potter fans to further enhance my familiarity with that phenomenal story.

I met a lot of HP fans and discovered that what I regard as my fluency in Harry Potter isn’t that fluent at all. I still have a lot of growing up to do, as they say.

Until JK Rowling –the author of the Harry Potter series—launched a bigger community that caters to all the Potterheads in the world which she called the Pottermore. I admit that I have more fandoms that the greatest fangirl in the world could ever think of that’s why at some time, I forgot about joining but still, I made an account and there I became BloodRain2398.

I am still exploring Pottermore so anyone out there can add me up and teach me maybe? LOL
